About Me
My name is Chelya Daverman
My goals are to bring humanistic reporting to the forefront of the news world, instilling ethical accountability-based reporting through multimedia journalism. I am interested in climate accountability and telling the stories of those affected by a lack thereof.
With a variety of visual, audio, and written storytelling, I want to create content that is valued because it is informative. It is important to me that the content I put into this world is engaging for a diverse audience that brings voice to the voiceless. I am currently attending Arizona State University Walter Cronkite School, where I am pursuing my MA in Journalism and Mass Communication.
I am eager to contribute meaningfully to the field of journalism and am on a mission to bridge information gaps, spark conversations, and drive positive change through multimedia. I am interested in primarily creating longer format visual and audio material, such as documentaries and podcasts. I'm open to collaborations and opportunities that align with my passion for authentic, impactful journalism.
